Renewable energy sources needs to bring 2 billion EUR worth investment, Deputy Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, Dejan Trifunovic, said.
1.000 MW from renewable energy sources are planned to be built up from wind energy, hydro potential and biomass by 2020- he stated on roundtable “Law regulative and its use in area of improvement of energy efficiency” in Serbian Parliament.
Investments in energy sector will be clearly defined in future strategy of energy- Trifunovic stressed.
Stimulation measures, transparency and good law regulative are necessary for investments and Ministry of Resources does that.
Trifunovic reminded on yesterday’s Agreement for mutual cooperation that it refers to energy licenses’ issuance for construction of plants on 317 locations between Minister of Resources i.e. Zorana Mihajlovic and 17 representatives from municipalities in Serbia.
Estimated value of investments for all 317 locations is around 500 million EUR where 300 million will be in undeveloped municipalities.
