The thermal power plant “GACKO” started a one-month full facilities repair, for which the company will use its own funds to allocate 4,6MEUR. TPP Gacko CEO Maksim Skoko confirmed that the major overhaul project will include extensive works on power plants main units.
Skoko confirmed for Serbia Energy that the overhaul started last week, due to breakdown repair in TPP “Ugljevik”, noting that this work will be done well and successfully.
He said that during the overhaul, among other things, they will be working on boiler-turbine and generator plant, slag and ash equipment facility up to coal transportation, chemical engineering plant and ancillary facilities, as well as on the construction works on the boiler plant.
According to him, for the repair work will be hired employees of Rudnik and TPP, and other subcontractors as missing and specialized workforce.
Skoko recalled that TPP “Gacko” in the past made good and stable operation, and overthrow the monthly production plans, noting that this giant in August, with the produced 173.26 million kilowatt hours of electricity achieved the third highest monthly production since start-up.
He said that this year’s production plan of a billion and 700 million kilowatt-hours of electricity is the most ambitious, in the thirty-year work of one of the largest producers of electricity in the Republic of Srpska.
