TSO company Transelectrica together with the National Energy Regulatory Authority – ANRE decided to reserve a percentage of available transmission capacity (ATC) for monthly electricity to be allocated thru daily capacity auctions and the implementation of the principle UIOSI (“Use It Or Sell It “).
Company representatives organized public consultation on improving the current rules for the allocation of interconnection capacity with neighboring TSOs (Serbia, Hungary, Bulgaria).
Following the public consultation on improving the current rules for the allocation of interconnection capacity with neighboring TSOs ( Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary), Transelectrica & ANRE decided to promote the option of reserving a percentage of available transmission capacity (ATC) of monthly electricity to be allocated via daily capacity auctions and implementation UIOSI principle (“Use It Or Sell It”).
Transelectrica has started negotiations with TSOs in neighboring countries and their status is as follows: – Hungarian TSO discussed the proposal with regulatory authorities in Hungary which decided that this proposal is to be submitted to public debate;
TSO Bulgaria has accepted the proposal, but announced it will be discussed with regulatory authorities in Bulgaria and implemented next year
Talks between Transelectrica and EMS Serbia are still in progress.
