E.ON Energie Romania, a local subsidiary of German energy company, has signed over 200 contracts with various companies in Romania for the delivery and installation of solar projects since 2018, with combined value of 40 million euros.
These projects include the installation of over 110,000 solar panels on a total area of 165,000 square meters and a total output of 40,000 MWh per year, enough to meet the demand of some 22,000 households.
Of these over 200 projects, E.ON has already finalized 55, while over 150 are in various stages of implementation.
According to E.ON, the construction of a solar power plant takes between 7 and 9 months and its operational lifespan is 25 years. Return of investment usually takes between 4 and 7 years.
