The distribution fees charged by Electrica’s electricity distribution subsidiaries with values ranging from 2.8 % to 6.5 % as of 1 January 2021 eas increased by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).
Thus, in the Northern Transylvania region, the fee for electricity distribution in the low-voltage network was increased by 2.8 %, in Northern Muntenia by 3.2 % and in Southern Transylvania by 6.5 %.
The statement from the Electrica Group said that the electricity distribution fees will be the basis of the revenues from the electricity distribution activity realized by the distribution operators within the Group during 2021. Considering the merger of the three distribution operators within the Electrica Group, with the effective target deadline 31 December 2020, for 2021 different distribution fees remain, applicable to each serviced region (Northern Muntenia, Northern Transylvania, Southern Transylvania).
As of 1 January 2021, the electricity market in Romania will be completely liberalized, so that ANRE will only establish electricity transmission and distribution fees, while prices will be completely unregulated for all categories of consumers.
