Engie Romania is planning to build a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 9.3 MW located in Braila County in Romania.
The company announced that the greenfield project will be located on a land plot of 14 hectares, next to a wind farm operated by Engie. Upon completion of the solar power plant, both facilities with a combined installed capacity of 47.5 MW, will have the same connection points to the network and will become one of the first hybrid renewable energy plants in Romania.
The solar power plant is expected to be completed in the coming months and will offset some 3,900 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
