Nucelarelectrica filed a lawsuit against the ironworks ArcelorMittal Galati, for termination the contract on electricity purchase and requested compensation of 1.9 MEUR.
Nucelarelectrica required to be declared unlawful termination of the electricity sale on the centralized market of bilateral contracts. Ironworks terminated the contract on April 1st, 2014th. The contract for the electricity supply, worth 24.2 MEUR, should have been valid from February 2013th to September 30th, 2014th.
In the first half of this year, Nucelarelectrica achieved a profit of 654,000 EUR, more than five times less than in the same period last year. Electricity production recorded a slight decline and amounted to 5,103 GWh in the first six months.
