Oltenia Energy Complex will start exporting lignite coal to Serbia in august, after a contract is signed for a period of one year, said the head of the Mining Division of the company, Daniel Anthony. It remains unclear wheather this coal will be exported to Serbian power utility company which lacks exactly the same amount in the coming annual coal balances, or some trader or middle party will take the share.

According to Anthony, every day contract projects delivery of about 20,000 tons of coal on a daily basis. The agreement represents a true breath of fresh air for the mine, as workers in mines and quarries were threatened with unemployment due to technical applications of carbon reduced.
He added that mining personnel will not enter into technical unemployment until the end of previously existing discussions on this.
