Romania: Transelectrica sells its power plant Borzesti for 22MEUR, SEE Energy News
The firm-Restructuring liquidator of Termoelectrica state company, put up for sale in an open tender the Borzeşti power plant in Onesti, Bacau at a starting price of 96.8 million lei (21.8 million euro), VAT included. The auction will be held on August 20.
Thermoelectric entered into voluntary liquidation and dissolution proceedings in March last year. In late July, more assets of Termoelectrica including thermoelectric power plant Doiceşti (Dâmboviţa County) and compression of the common intermediate station Aninoasa (Dâmboviţa County), were sold to European Energy Company Communications LLC for 60.89 million lei (13 8 million).
Thermoelectra 12,000 employees in three branches (Electrocentrale Mintia Electrocentrale Electrocentrale Bucharest and Galati) and four branches (Paroşeni, Doiceşti, Borzeşti and Braila).
