SEE region: Net electricity import decreased to 1.3 TWh

Net electricity imports in the SEE region in week 15 decreased by 7% and amounted to 1.27 TWh, attributed to the higher renewable output and lower electricity demand.

Croatia and Turkey saw their net imports recede by 78% and by 6%, amounting to 43 GWh and 75 GWh respectively.

Greece and Italy posted higher net electricity imports by 6% in both countries.

Serbia retained its exporting position in the same period, registering decreased net exports of 27 GWh, lower by 62% compared to the previous week.

Romania retained its position as the main electricity exporter in SEE region, posting net exports of 222 GWh, higher by 73% compared to the week 14.

Bulgaria registered electricity exports of nearly 9 GWh.
