Romanian Minister of Energy Sebastian Burduja and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto plans to increase the capacity of gas interconnection between the two countries.
Szijjarto said that the increased capacity would give Hungary access to additional quantities of gas from the Black Sea. The two countries also agreed on new electricity interconnection between their networks.
Minister Burduja said that Romania would continue to allow the transit of fuel rods for Hungary’s nuclear power plant Paks through its territory.
They also announced that the agreement on cooperation in the field of renewable energy between the countries will be signed later in November.
