Energy regulator introduces new regulations for the change of suppliers of electrical and gas.
Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia adopted new regulations on the change of suppliers of electrical power and natural gas complied with the provisions of the Law on Energy from December 2014, at the session on 21 July.
The rules will specify the conditions and procedure for changing suppliers, final customer under the contract on full supply of electrical power or natural gas , as well as the rights, duties and deadlines, the actions of the system operators, the current and the new supplier and customer. These Rules will be also applied to the household which want to change a supplier.
The largest number of customers , including household, has a contract on a full supply, meaning that the quantity of electric power or natural gas for accounting period is not defined by the contract, but customers pay for the quantity they spend.
The procedure for changing will be initiated by a buyer who finds favorable supplier, by submitting a request to the new supplier. The change of supplier is free for all customers and lasts maximum 21 days.
