Serbian state-owned power utility EPS and company Siemens Belgrade have signed an agreement on the construction of Belgrade 23 – Autokomanda substation, a project worth 7.7 million euros.
The contract on the construction of this substation, which will enable stable and uninterrupted electricity supply of parts of the Serbian capital, was signed by the Acting Director of EPS Milorad Grcic and CEO of Siemens Belgrade Udo Eichlinger.
Grcic said after the signing that the construction of this substation is significant not only for the distribution system, but also for the whole infrastructure of Belgrade, adding that the priority for EPS is the modernization of systems, increasing the efficiency and improving the quality of electricity distribution system.
According to Eichlinger, Siemens will deliver to EPS high and medium voltage equipment, management system and relay protection, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
