Serbia:TPP TENT air monitoring system project results, managed by Vattenfall and supported by EU

The presentation “Continuous measurement of harmful substances in TENT” was performed today   in Thermal Power Plant “Nikola Tesla A” in Obrenovac. This actual ecological theme caused big interest among the experts, so besides the representatives of “Siemens” and “Vattenfall”, also the experts from “Serbia Power Utility Company” and EC TENT took part at the content presentation.

The presentation was organized after the project completion of measurement of harmful substances emissions at the levels of entire infrastructure in EC TENT, which was realized with the European delegation funds.

-The project was very required and specific for the realization, considering the plants dissection in EC TENT, but also the possibility of units’ standstill when it was necessary some operation to be done. It was completed with high quality, on time and within the limits of predicted funds, thanks to the responsible participation of all parts that were included in it. Here I refer, particularly, at the representatives of the European delegation, than at the engineer who supervised the project (company “Vattenfall”), at the work constructer (who got the job at the tender realized and organized by the European delegation), but also the engagement of TENT experts as user. This project represents the significant step in the further adapting of all demands set in the EU directives, namely toward the reaching the European level when it comes to the environment protection – said Milan Petkovic, deputy director of EC TENT.

Expressing gratitude to all project participants, Petkovic said that EC TENT during the past years had huge help and support of the European delegation in Belgrade in the realization of the significant ecological projects. Thanks to that, as he said, many serious and extent operations were done in the ecological sector, starting from the anechoic transport and ash handling system in the units TENT B, over the electro filters reconstruction in the units A4, A5 and A6 in TENT A, to the ash handling system and electro filter reconstruction in the unit A5 in TPP “Kolubara”, which was partly funded from its own sources.

-In front of us are the projects of electro filters reconstruction in the TENT A3 unit, which are planned for the next year, also with the EU funds(of course EPS takes part ). Also the electro filters reconstruction in the unit TPP “Morava” in Svilajnac waiting for us in 2015. It has to be mentioned also the project of wastewater treatment in TENT B, which is currently in the initial realization phase. In agreement with the European delegation, we have started preparation of the technical specification and tenders for the project of wastewater treatment in TENT A. With the support of European delegation we succeed in dynamics and continuation maintaining when we talk about the projects of environmental protection, in order to complete all criteria and satisfy all directives, which are actual and effective in Europe in that sector – concluded Petkovic.
