Slovenia: Acquisition of electricity distributor E3 completed
, SEE Energy NewsThe acquisition of electricity distribution unit E3 from state-owned Elektro Primorska is completed, announced Slovenian energy company Petrol.
The statement from the company said that it intends to develop the operations and maintain the existing jobs at E3. According to Slovenian media, the purchase price was around 15 million euros.
The agreement on the acquisition was signed in February 2020. Previously, media reported that Elektro Primorska received three offers for the sale of E3 unit: from Petrol, energy company GEN-I and state-owned electricity producer HSE. The E3 unit in question is covers western Slovenia and is one of the largest electricity distributors in the country. Following this acquisition, Petrol will hold 20 % share in Slovenian electricity retail market.
