Slovenia, Net electricity generation in June 2022 decreased by 13 % in June

According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, country’s net electricity generation in June 2022 decreased by 13 % compared to the same month last year.

In June 2022, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,112 GWh, which is 5 % less than in the previous month. In June, production in thermal power plants increased by 80 % compared to the same month in 2021, production in hydropower plants decreased by 49 %, while NPP Krsko production was 2 % lower. In June 2022, Slovenia imported 756 GWh (45 % more compared to June 2021) of electricity and exported 762 GWh (+ 14 %).

In June 2022, households consumed 236 GWh of electricity, while the consumption of commercial consumers amounted to 675 GWh.

Supply of energy commodities in general went up in June, except from the supply of natural gas which fell by 8 %, heating oil by 4 % and hard coal by 1 %. Compared to the previous month, an increase in supply of petrol (32 %) was recorded, as well as diesel (28 %), kerosene (27 %), lignite and brown coal (25 %), LPG (5 %) and coke (2 %).

Compared to June 2021, the supply of kerosene increased by 111 %, lignite and brown coal by 64 %, diesel by 31 %, petrol by 20 %, LPG by 19 %, coke by 19 % and lignite and heating oil by 13 %.
