The European Commission has approved a 150 million euros support scheme that aims to support the expansion of renewable energy and energy storage in Slovenia. It will provide grants of up to 25 million euros per beneficiary. It aims to speed up investments in renewable energy production and energy storage. Aid will be provided no later than 31 December 2025.
The EC said that the measure aligns with the Green Deal Industrial Plan and supports the implementation of the REPower EU Plan. The scheme is in line with the conditions set out in the new state aid Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework adopted by the Commission in March to facilitate measures accelerating the green transition and reducing the reliance on fossil fuels.
