Slovenia, TPP Sostanj generated 606 GWh of electricity in the first two months of 2022
, SEE Energy NewsCoal-fired thermal power plant Sostanj, operated by energy company HSE, generated 606 GWh of electricity in the first two months of 2022, which accounted for 40 % of Slovenia’s total electricity generation in this period.
The statement from HSE said that economic conditions for the operation of TPP Sostanj improved in 2022 as the gap between the price of electricity on the wholesale market and the price of CO2 emissions increased significantly.
TPP Sostanj produced 3,166 GWh of electricity in 2021, which is a 13 % decrease compared to 2020.
