Nuclear power plants (NPP) in Ukraine in January-May 2016 reduced the production of electricity by 7.5% (to 2.824 billion kilowatt-hours) compared with the same period in 2015 – up to 34.752 billion kWh, said the Zaporizhzhya NPP’s press service.
According to statement, the first five months of this year, production of the Zaporozhye nuclear power amounted to 12.991 billion kWh (-12.5%), the South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant – 6.503 billion kWh (-16.2%), Rivne NPP – 8 1 billion kWh (-1.4%), Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant – 7.158 billion kWh (+ 5.8%).
In May 2016 the production of electricity decreased by 13.7% (to 0.901 billion kilowatt-hours) compared with the same month last year – up to 5,658 billion kWh.
As reported, the State Enterprise “” Energoatom “reduced electricity production by 0.8% in 2015 (to 732.8 million kWh) compared to the 2014 year – up to 87 billion 840.2 million kWh, vacation – on 0.8% (to 661.3 million kWh), up to 82 billion 561.8 million kWh.
