Serbian Minister of Energy, Development and Environment Zorana Mihajlovic estimated that Russian gas price for Serbiaa is too high.
Mihajlovic said when she was at the meeting with Russian Ambassador Aleksandar Cerupin: “gas price for Serbian market is extremely high considering pretty good relations between these two countries”. Ambassador supported Lukoil development plans for Serbia.
She said that suggestion of the law for South Stream will be adopted until the end of January latest, so preconditions for accelerated construction of the pipeline in Serbia could be managed as soon as possible.
Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Cerupin stressed that there is a space for investments of Russian companies to be bigger, because Serbia is very attractive for investments. Russian companies’ business in Serbia was one of subjects of the meeting in Ministry, same as announced of mining rent in Serbia. Andrej Harpunov, representative of Russian trade office in Belgrade, participated the meeting.
Hripunov stressed that Lukoil Company, which has been doing business in Serbia for a very long time, is interested in gas stations opening and continuation of cooperation. He asked for current contract that expires at the end of year to be renewed.
