Roland Berger is the same company which consulted the former Albanian Government during the signing of existing agreement with TAP AG.
Secretary at the Ministry of Energy Koti Bele said that Albanian Government wants to renegotiate the terms of its agreement with TAP AG, the operator of future Trans-Adriatic gas pipeline, since Greece signed a more favorable agreement.
Bele said that Albania wants similar agreement which would include some favorable elements for the benefit of local community, for the environment protection and the involvement of Albanian local companies in the project. Therefore, the Government has hired Roland Berger consulting company which will compare TAP’s agreements with Albania and Greece and point out where Greece profited more.
However, Roland Berger is the same company which consulted the former Albanian Government during the signing of existing agreement with TAP AG.
In related news, 13,000 pipes for the construction of the Albanian section of TAP have arrived at 90,000 square meters space in Spitalla, designated for their storage. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that this project will inject about one billion euros in the country and create 15,000 jobs in the next five years, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
