Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gross electricity production in the FBiH in March amounted to 730 GWh

Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in March 2022 amounted to 730 GWh, which is by 20.5 % lower compared to March last year, when it amounted to 918 GWh.

Net electricity production amounted to 673 GWh, of which 213 GWh (31.6 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 410 GWh (60.9 %) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 50 GWh. In March, electricity imports amounted to 39 GWh, compared to 14 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 164 GWh, compared to 538 GWh last March.

In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 331,918 tons, which is 9.8 % less compared to 2020 when the production stood at 367,789 tons. Lignite production in March 2022 amounted to 127,477 tons, while in March 2021 it amounted to 145,111 tons, a 12.2 % decrease.
