A subsidiary of power utility ERS “Hidroelektrane na Drini”, the company which operates hydropower plant Visegrad, announced that the plant has produced 29.24 GWh of electricity in October 2021, which is by 9.3 % higher compared to the previous month. Last October, the plant produced 78.5 GWh of electricity.
Electricity production in September reached 26.76 GWh, 27.2 % less compared to the same month last year (36.77 GWh).
HPP Visegrad produced a total of 708.8 GWh of electricity in 2020, compared to 858 GWh produced in 2019. So far in 2021, the plant generated a total of 974.5 GWh of electricity.
HPP Visegrad was commissioned in 1989 and it has power output of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and average annual generation of 1,010 GWh of electricity. Record annual production was achieved in 2010 with 1,283.05 GWh.
