Bosnia: Energy utility company continues to invest in plant modernization, secured financing for major projects

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “Electric Power Industry BiH”, said that as of mid-2011 preparations for Block 7 in the TPP “Tuzla”, Block 8 in TPP “Kakanj”, HPP “Vranduk”, “Ustikolina”, “Una Kostela” and “Anek”, “Janjici “, “Caplje”, “Krusevo”  with HPP “Zeleni Vir”, “Kovanici” WPP “Podvelezje” intensified, as well as other development projects of EPBIH, and that for some of the projects a part of the funding is already secured.

– During this period, the volume of investments in the modernization of the mines of EPBiH increased, investing in the rehabilitation and modernization of existing power facilities has continued, and  in construction and reconstruction of distribution network – said during 29th Assembly of Shareholders  the  Supervisory Board President of “Electric Power Industry BiH” Enver Agic.

Despite the current loss of 16.3 million in the first half of 2011, and unfavorable weather conditions, year 2011 ended with a profit of the company of 1.4 million BAM. In 2012, the profit of 7.1 million BAM is generated. For the first six months of 2013 EP BiH has made ​​a profit of about 22 million BAM – Agic said on yesterday’s vote of confidence to the members of the Supervisory Board of “Electric Power Industry BiH”.
