Bulgaria: Bulgargaz proposes 9% lower gas price for May, SEE Energy News
Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed lower wholesale natural gas price to be applied for May 2023, company announced.
The price for May should be around 46.1 euros/MWh, which is 9% lower compared to the price approved for April – 50.2 euros/MWh.
The main factor for the decrease is the persistent downward trend of the stock indices of the international gas markets, as a result of the mild weather and the high capacity of the European gas storages.
Bulgargaz also said that it estimates wholesale gas price for the months of June at 38.1 euros/MWh, which is 17% lower than the proposal for May. Bulgargaz will submit its final request for the price applicable for March on 1 March.
