Deals totaling 16.55 million euros have been concluded at the exchange in June, which is an increase by 4 % compared to the previous month. At the same time an increase of 9 % in traded volumes was recorded.
In June 2017, a total of 448,012.9 MWh of electricity at the weighted average price of 36.96 euros/MWh were traded on the day-ahead market. However, the average price was by 4 % lower compared to the previous month.
The highest traded price in June was 62.64 euros/ MWh, while the lowest one stood at 14.17 euros/ MWh. The average daily traded volume for June was 14,933.76 MWh, marking a growth of 13 % in comparison to May. The number of active participants in June was 45 out of 54 registered overall.
The Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) has started electricity trading on 19 January 2016. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) and the energy exchange was developed in partnership with Nord Pool Spot.
