According to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, production of electricity in July 2019 increased by 16.6 % compared to June, to 3,562 GWh, while consumption of electricity rose by 6.2 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,667 GWh. Consumption of natural gas in July 2019 increased by 4 % and amounted to 183 million cubic meters.
Compared to July 2018, production of electricity decreased by 5.6 %, while its consumption rose by 5.7 %. Consumption of natural gas increased by 8.9 % compared to July 2018.
In July, production of unleaded petrol increased by 3.9 % and amounted to 161,000 tons, while its consumption also rose by 18.2 % and amounted to 52,000 tons. Production of diesel in July decreased by 4.3 % compared to the previous month and amounted to 270,000 tons, while its consumption increased by 19.3 % and amounted to 216,000 tons in the same period.
Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) decreased by 6.3 % and amounted to 45,000 tons, while its production rose by 20.2 % and amounted to 12,000 tons. At the same period, production of solid fuels increased by 34.9 % to 1,910 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource also dropped by 34.1 % to 2,006 thousand tons.
