Bulgaria, KEVR has made the final decision on the price of electricity and heating for the next regulatory period

Bulgarian Commission for Emergy and Water Regulation (KEVR) has made the final decision on the price of electricity and heating for the next regulatory period, starting on 1 July 2022.

As of 1 July, the price of heating for residential consumers should increase by an average of 39.26 % and the price of electricity by an average of 3.3 %. Regarding electricity, the increase for consumers in western Bulgaria, supplied by Eurohold, will be the lowest – 2.5 %. Customers of Energo-Pro will experience the highest increase of 4.5 %, while the price for those supplied by EVN should increase by 3.5 %.

The regulator said that, although the price of district heating services has gone up by almost 40 %, it is far less than requested by service providers – 125.6 % on average. Some of the suppliers even requested price increases of more than 300 %. However, a support mechanism has been introduced, which compensates consumers’ bills through the Electricity System Security Fund.

Fоr Торlоfіkatsiya Ѕоfіа, nаturаl gаѕ price аnd CO2 tax fоrm 87.61 % оf thе рrісе оf thе dіѕtrісt hеаtіng ѕеrvісе, fоr Торlоfіkаtsiya Рlеvеn thіѕ ѕhаrе іѕ 85.52 %, fоr Торlоfіkаtsiya Vrаtѕа – 83.08 %, fоr Торlоfіkаtsiya Реrnіk – 81.68 %. Fоr thе оthеr соmраnіеѕ thе ѕhаrе оf nаturаl gаѕ аnd саrbоn еmіѕѕіоnѕ іn thе fоrmаtіоn оf thе fіnаl рrісе іѕ frоm 64.36 tо 79.34 %.
