Average daily traded volume in March amounted to 37,005 MWh. A total of 1,147,161 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in March 2020, which is 7.9 % more compared to the previous month. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in March amounted to 28.28 euros/MWh, which is 31.7 % lower compared to February (41.41 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 30.91 euros/MWh (- 32.6 %). Weighted average price was 28.56 euros/MWh. There were a total of 76 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, the same as in the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 99,281.2 MWh (+ 158.4 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 23.88 euros/MWh (- 43 %).
At the same time, 1,022,423 MWh of electricity was delivered on the centralized market for bilateral contracts in March (10.2 % more compared to February), with the weighted average price of 52.54 euros/MWh (- 0.7 %).
