The average price of electricity for base load in February 2022 on the day-ahead market (DAM) of the Independent Bulgarian Stock Exchange IBEX was 142.3 euros per MWh, which is 4.5 percent more than in January, when it was 136. 19 euros per MWh, according to the monthly report of the stock exchange operator.
The price for peak load at DAM was reduced in February by 11 percent, from 169.09 euros per MWh to 151.07 euros per MWh.
The maximum hourly price in the previous month was EUR 317.66 per MWh, and the minimum was EUR 1.01 per MWh.
At the same time, the total volume of trade on IBEX DAM decreased by 4.8 percent, to 2.47 million MWh. The average daily volume was 88,102 MWh in February.
The weighted average intraday market (IDM) IBEX price decreased by 1.5 percent, from 140.27 euros per MWh in January to 138.2 euros per MWh in February.
At the same time, the average weighted price for peak load was reduced by 14.2 percent, to 143.57 euros per MWh.
The total volume at IDM in February was 143,360 MWh, which is 22.6 percent less compared to the previous month (185,227 MWh in January), according to the IBEX monthly report.
