Bulgaria, wpd is planning to invest in two wind farms in Bulgaria
, SEE Energy NewsGerman renewable energy developer wpd is planning to invest in two wind farms in Bulgaria, which will have combined installed capacity of between 75 and 100 MW.
General Manager of wpd Bulgaria Martin Iliev said that the two wind farms will be located near the coastal town of Balchik. The project are in advanced preliminary stage, with obtained building permits, completed technical documentation and grid connection permit, and should cost between 90 and 120 million euros.
Last month, wpd said that it is planning to develop two offshore wind projects in the Romanian part of the Black Sea, with combined installed capacity of 1.9 GW. The two project companies have already been established in order to develop the projects – 500 MW offshore wind farm Black Sea 1 and 1.4 GW offshore wind farm Black Sea 2.
