Croatian Electric Power Industry confirmed on Wednesday that it had given the best offer for the tender for the electricity supply to the capital of Slovenia. Other details about the offer were not disclosed.
According to unofficial information, in the last round of the procurement process, HEP has given the best offer for the purchase of 270 GWh of electricity for the city of Ljubljana, which value is estimated at 12 MEUR. HEP offer was more favorable than the other four bidders or 0.3 percent cheaper than the second-ranked offer of the company Petrol.
HEP won the tender of Slovenian distribution company SODO in February for guaranteed supply during the period of 2016 – 2017th in the amount of 1.1 million MWh. With the new agreement, HEP will hold about 5 percent of the Slovenian electricity market.
HEP could not officially confirm this information because the tender has not been completed and it is necessary to wait for the final decision. In HEP add that they are satisfied with the fact that they were competitive in an important international tender.
Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak says that this is the beginning of HEP large investment cycle. He recalled how they insisted on HEP spreading on the market in the region in the past few years, and that the results of this work became more visible at the moment.
