Croatia: Environmental permit for TPP Sisak, SEE Energy News
Environmental permit must obtain all the existing HEP’s thermal power plants, rated thermal power exceeding 50 MW.
HEP’s production obtained a environmental permit (decision on integrated environmental protection) for the TPP Sisak. The decision on integrated environmental protection in TPP Sisak is issued by the Ministry of Environment and Nature on its website.
In February this year, it was obtained a decision on integrated environmental protection for the first Unit Osijek HEP-Toplinarstvo , and then in April and the first Unit of HEP Production – TPP Osijek . The decision on integrated environmental protection, so-called environmental permit must obtain all the existing HEP’s thermal power plants rated thermal power exceeding 50 MW , in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Protection Law, in order to continue working. The aim of HEP is by applying the best available techniques (BAT) to enable continued operation of thermal power plants after January 1st , 2018, when their work must be complied with the limit values of the Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial emissions, according to a HEP’s statement.
