Croatian Crosco might lay off 200 workers, SEE Energy News
Crosco could soon lay off about 200 workers. Crosco is a member of the INA Group that provides drilling services for exploration and production of oil and gas.
This is more than 20 % of the total number of its employees. The company faces operational problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic, low oil prices and a large drop in demand for energy.
President of the Management Board of Crosco Igor Kruljac said that the company practically lost all its jobs in foreign markets. There was a situation in April when the company had zero hours for a few days that it could charge to outstanding clients. During May and June, over 90 % of Crosco’s employees were on some kind of leave due to lack of work orders, which is a very unfavorable situation for the company.
