Greece, Cero Generation has started the construction of a 100 MW solar project
, SEE Energy NewsCero Generation, a solar developer within Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (GIG), has started the construction of a 100 MW solar project in Eastern Macedonia in Greece.
The Delfini project envisages the construction of a solar power plant near Prosotsani. It will be operated under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Swiss renewable power producer Axpo Holding, which makes it the first solar development in Greece with a private power off- take deal in place.
Cero Generation currently has some 9 GW of solar projects under development in its European portfolio. The Delfini project will further expand its foothold in the Greek market and enhance its plans for extensive growth in the country. Additionally, solar generation will support Greece’s goal of making renewables account for 70 % of its total electricity consumption by 2030.
