UK-based solar developer Hive Energy said that it has secured network connection capacity for its solar projects in Greece, totaling 200 MW, located in central Greece.
The total amount consists of several projects, of 100 MW, 60 MW and 40 MW in capacity, which are now ready to participate in tenders for securing power purchase agreements. It is expected that the construction licenses for these projects will be obtained in the second quarter of the year.
Hive Energy has a total of 617 MW of renewable energy projects in the pipeline in Greece. These consist of 467 MW in solar power, 100 MW in energy storage and 50 MW in green hydrogen plants. The projects are in various stages of development, but environmental permits have already been secured for all of them.
