A total of 17 GW of renewable energy projects have been submitted to relevant authorities in Greece so far in 2022, with 179 applications totaling 2,504 MW in October alone.
Out of applications submitted in October, 61 were related to solar projects with combined installed capacity of 1,559 MW, while 79 submitted applications represented wind projects with combined installed capacity of 773 MW. The trend of domination of solar projects among newly submitted applications continues in October as well.
Among other applications were 31 regarding small hydropower plants totaling 19 MW, five applications for hybrid projects totaling 171 MW and one 1.5 MW biomass application.
