The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 495.29 euros/MWh in August 2022, which is 33 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 371.1 euros/MWh.
Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 506.93 euros/MWh in August, 34 % higher compared to July peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.07 million MWh, 5 % more compared to July (1.96 million MWh) and 15.2 % less than in August 2021 (2.58 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in August amounted to 66,799 MWh.
Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 361,732 MWh in August 2022, which is 11 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 11,669 MWh.
