Energy company MET Group announced that it has started building a 23 MW expansion to its Kaba solar farm in Hungary.
The Kaba 2 plant will feature over 33,000 solar panels arranged on land spanning nearly 32 hectares The group said in a statement that it will use artificial intelligence technology to track progress during construction.
-The software will analyse visual data captured by drones on all aspects of the construction, including compliance with design execution and timeline to prevent errors, as well as to boost efficiency – the company added.
The new project is the work of MET Group’s in-house team, which started the development after the commissioning of the first Kaba park in 2021.
Kaba 2 is MET Group’s seventh solar project. The new plant is scheduled to start commercial operation in the second half of 2024.
