The renewables arm of Hungarian state-owned energy company MVM – MVM Zold Generacio has launched the construction of a 28.7 MW solar power plant in Kunmadaras, a project worth some 28 million euros.
The power plant is expected to enter commercial operation in the second quarter of 2023 and its construction is supported by 10.5 million euros grant from the European Union. The future power plant will produce enough electricity to cover the demand of some 15,000 households.
MVM Zold Generacio operates more than 100 solar power plants and seven wind farms in Hungary.
