Emirates, next to Czech Republic, are also interested for constructing TPP in Pester which became energy priority to Serbia.
Companies from China and United Arab Emirates are also interested in participation in the project of construction TPP “Stavalj”, 500-700 million EUR worth, next to “Alta” Company from Brino in Czech Republic.
Serbian Minister of Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, confirmed this at recently held Business Forum “Kopaonik 2013”. She stressed that construction of TPP in Stavlje, next to construction of HPP “Bistrica” and several small similar facilities, is the energy priority in Serbia.
Who will get this huge job- and it is not a secret that Czechs also expressed readiness to built railways from Raska to Sjenica while their government financed construction of water system in Stavlje and it is not certain yet when work will begin because the final decision should be made by Ministry of Energy.
TPP “Stavalj” with planned power of 350 MW should hire a thousand residents of Sjenica municipality and economically regenerate this region in every case. Expert estimation is very important for lifting this type of facility which won’t endanger production of healthy food on Pester plateau considering that installation of the most advanced equipment is being planned.
We should remind, reviled reservoirs of coal on Pester plateau exceed hundred million and estimated amount of stocks is heavier than billion tons. While 70.000 tons of coal is excavated in “Stavalj” mine annually, coal can be exploited in some parts of Pester like Mravin Polje and Trebinje.
Project from SFRJ
Construction of TPP on Pester was popular even in SFRJ period. The project was done, but then it was estimated that attention should be drawn by facilities at Kosmet because it was believed that there is more coal there. Construction of TPP on Pester become popular again after “Obilic” loss in Kosovsko Polje and decrease of coal in “Kolubara” and it is around 10 years this way.
