Montenegro: China power company and Bank of China awaiting TPP Pljevlja new unit tender results
, SEE Energy NewsChina Power company representatives came with representatives of Bank of China, a former Chinese central bank and today the second largest commercial bank in China and one of the 10 largest in the world, and spoke with representatives of the Government of Montenegro and the Electric Power Industry about the project of the Second Block of TPP Pljevlja .
Regional Manager for Central Asia and Eastern Europe, Hugh Fei said that the project is very complicated, but they are optimistic about getting this job.
He added that they invest in this project for one year.
Hugh Fei said that they hope that about 600 workers from Montenegro will be employed at the beginning of the project. On the other hand, Hugh Fei, said that during the talks they were warned that they might not be able to find much manpower for work in Pljevlje.
EPCG Pljevlje plans to build TPP with power of 220-300 MW, on the site of the existing TPP. It is anticipated that the net electrical efficiency is not less than 38 percent, while also mandatory heating system of Pljevlje is planned by the project.
EPCG has previously announced that a short list of three or four best bidders will be announced in mid-December.
