Regular annual overhaul of hydropower plant Perucica will start on 3 August and will last until 5 September.
In addition to regular overhaul works on HPP Perucica, two significant investments will be made this year, namely the replacement of two block transformers worth around 900,000 euros, as well as the revitalization of units G3 and G6 worth around one million euros. These activities are performed within the project for the replacement of five block transformers and revitalization of all seven units of HPP Perucica. The total value of these investments is close to 6 million euros, and the revitalization is expected to be completed by October 2021. Last September, power utility EPCG and German KfW Bank have signed a loan agreement worth 33 million euros. The proceeds of the loan will be used for the modernization of HPP Perucica. In the next two year, six generators of HPP Perucica will be revitalized, which will increase its safety and reliability , thus extending the operational life of one of oldest Montenegrin large-scale HPP, commissioned in 1961. In June same year, EPCG signed the revitalization contract with Sever-Nikcom-Koncar GIM consortium. Revitalization works, worth 3 million euros, will mostly be carried out during regular overhauls of the plant and are expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
