Montenengro: Ministry delivers concession contracts for the construction of ten small HPP

Ceremonial delivery of the concession contract for the construction of ten small hydropower plants in six watercourses will be organized on Monday, June 2nd, at 11 am at the Ministry of Economy in Podgorica.

Minister of Economy Vladimir Kavaric will deliver concession contracts to the Consortium “Blue Hydro Power” (Pec, Kosovo) for the construction of two small hydropower plants on the Djuricka river and its tributaries, to the company “Hydro Montenegro” LTD from Berane for the construction of a small hydropower plant on the river Kaludarska, and to the Consortium “Interenergo “(Ljubljana, Slovenia) for the construction of two small HPP at watercourse of Vrbnica river.

Also, Kavaric will deliver the concession contracts to the Consortium “Hydro Bistrica” for the construction of a small hydropower plant on the river Bistrica and to the consortium “Kutska and Mojanska” for the construction of a small hydropower plant on the Kutska river and 3 small HPP on the Mojanska river.

“According to signed agreements the construction of ten small hydropower plants is predicted, with a total installed capacity of 23,324 MW and projected annual production of 86.289 GWh. Based on the accepted conceptual design, total investment amounts to 46,632,972.00 euros,” it was stated from the Ministry of Economy.
The concession agreements were signed in April and May on the ground of the tender which was announced by the Ministry of Economy on July 12th , 2013, and on the ground of the tender, which was launched at the bidder’s own initiative on November 22nd , 2013.
