General Director of North Macedonian state-owned power utility ESM Vasko Kovacevski said that the procedure for the procurement of new electrostatic filters for coal-fired thermal power plant Bitola has been completed.
Kovacevski reminded that this will be the first time since the installation of these filters 40 years ago, that they will be replaced, in which ESM will invest some 32 million euros. He said that filters will be replaced for all three units of TPP Bitola. Unit 1 will get new electrostatic filter by the end of 2020, unit 2 in 2021 and unit 3 by the end of 2022, while the installation of desulfurization facility will be completed by the end of 2025.
Coal-fired TPP Bitola has three units with installed capacity of 233 MW each.
