Region, Mild to moderate growth in weekly spot prices

In the period from 12 to 18 April 2022, the average spot price of electricity on stock exchanges in the region of Southeast Europe ranged from 168.5 euros per MWh in Bulgaria and Romania to 255.4 euros per MWh in Greece.

On the Serbian stock exchange SEEPEX, the average weekly price is 184 euros per MWh, about 5 euros more on a weekly basis, compared to 179.1 euros per MWh seven days earlier.

On the Bulgarian stock exchange IBEX, the weekly average was 168.5 euros per MWh, up about 12 euros from 156.7 euros per MWh in the previous week.

The Bulgarian and Romanian markets were traded all week, while the two markets were traded with the Hungarian market on Friday and Saturday.

The weekly average on HUPX was 180.8 euros per MWh (22 euros more on a weekly basis).

The Greek and Bulgarian markets were not flooded during this period. The weekly average on ENEX is 255.4 euros per MWh, which is 16 euros more than in the previous week.

On the Slovenian and Croatian markets, the weekly spot price increased by about 7 euros, to 179.8 euros per MWh, compared to 172.9 euros per MWh last week.
