Republika Srpska: China CPECC company eyes TSO & DSO modernization projects, SEE Energy News
Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Zeljko Kovacevic met on 21 October in Banja Luka with representatives of the Chinese of company “China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation” (CPECC), who recently signed with the Government of the Republic of Serpska the Framework Protocol on cooperation in infrastructure construction project of the highest priority in the Republic of Srpska, it was announced on the official website of the Government of Republic of Srpska.
– Today we discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the part related to the modernization and management of distributive and transmission lines, as well as cooperation in the construction of power plants based on the principle of direct foreign investment, as well as the principle of project financing – said the minister Kovacevic.
It was agreed that, in future, the expert team of company “China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation” will visit “Electric Power Industry of Republic of Srpska” and “Elektroprenos BiH”, Banja Luka and make the analysis of the distribution and transmission network (due diligence) in order to define the following activity. Meeting with representatives CPECC was attended by General Manager “Electric Power Industry of Republic of Srpska” Branislava Milekic and Acting General Director of “Elektroprenos BiH” Dusan Mijatovic.
