Power utility Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS) signed contracts for the sale of a total of 43,200 MWh of surplus electricity available for delivery in June with Slovenian electricity and gas trading group Gen-I.
ERS received two bids in a tender for the sale of June surplus energy – from Gen-I and from Sarajevo-based Petrol BH Oil Company, a spokesperson for ERS stated.
Gen-I won the contracts in all three lots after filing better offers, ERS said, adding that the achieved prices are at the level of dominant prices on the electricity market in the region.
On May 14, ERS published a tender for the sale of surplus electricity in June. The bidding deadline was May 20.
ERS has an installed power generating capacity of 1,348 MW. The average annual energy production from existing production facilities is approximately 5,000 GWh.
