In the second quarter of 2021, hydrocarbon output of Romania’s largest oil and gas company OMV Petrom amounted to 133,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day, which is by 3.75 % lower compared to the first quarter, when it totaled 138,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day. In the same period of 2020, hydrocarbon production amounted to 147,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The production of crude oil and condensate between April and June 2021 amounted to 64,800 barrels of oil per day, while natural gas production amounted to 68,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The total volume of hydrocarbon sales amounted to 127,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day (142,100 in Q2 2020), of which sales of crude oil and condensate 67,700 and natural gas 60,200 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Total sales of refined products amounted to 1.24 million tons (1.15 million tons in Q2 2020), and gas sales to third parties to 9.57 TWh (11.8 TWh in Q2 2020).
Net electricity production amounted to 0.7 TWh in the second quarter of the year.
