Romania: Dutch NN Group increased stake in OMV Petrom, SEE Energy News
NN Group is present in Romania since 1997 in insurance and financial sectors. OMV Petrom is the most valuable listed company in Romania, with a market capitalization of nearly 4.5 billion euros.
Dutch NN Group has increased its stake in the largest Romanian oil and gas company – OMV Petrom to 5.03 %.
OMV Petrom said in a statement that NN Group now holds 2,848,113,046 of its shares/voting rights, corresponding to 5.03% of its share capital/voting rights, and is now the fourth biggest stakeholder in the company. OMV Perom is majority owned by Austrian OMV Group, which holds 51.011 % stake, followed by the Romanian state with 20.639 %, while 28.35 % of company’s shares represent the free float on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
